FEND SUPER is designed to meet US CPSC and European EN1078 safety standards. The helmet stays open during impact using our patented locking system.
We are using the same safety technology as found in our FEND One helmet, which is fully certified by SGS Labs, the world’s leading testing, inspection, and certification company.

How I choose my size and color?
You can select your color and size through the Backerkit survey link sent via email. Also, if you haven’t received the email, please check your spam folder.
Color options: FEND SUPER is available in 4 colors: Matte Black, Matte White, Hi-Vis Blue, and Hi-Vis Lime.
Fit Guide: FEND SUPER is offered in 3 sizes: Small (S), Medium (M), and Large (L). To find your fit, follow the below steps:
- Find A Measuring Tool: Find a flexible measuring tape or a phone charger cord (and ruler to measure it against).
- Measure Your Head: Wrap the cord just above the eyebrows around your head.
- Choose Your Size: Small (54-57cm), Medium 57-59cm), and Large (59-62cm). If you’re in-between sizes, we recommend sizing up.

What are the shipping fees?
Shipping, duties, and taxes (where applicable) will be charged separately prior to shipping. We will send out a survey after the campaign ends, before shipping.
Due to increasing shipping rates, we do not want to charge shipping now as we do believe prices will decrease in the next several months.

When will I be charged for shipping?
Shipping, duties, and taxes (where applicable) will be charged separately prior to shipping. To ensure you receive the best shipping rate, shipping will be charged closer to delivery. Once shipping rates are ready to be collected, you will be sent an email reminding you of the upcoming charge with a link to review your final shipping fees.

Are the lights removable?
The lights are easily removable and snap securely in place when attached. They are also rechargeable via USB-C.

How long will the battery last?
The LED lights offer up to 20 hours of runtime and can be charged via USB-C. The battery will last through approximately 300-500 charge cycles; however, this depends on usage and charging habits (i.e., how long it is left on the charger after it is fully charged).

Are the batteries in the lights replaceable?
The battery cells are not replaceable since they are soldered together. Also, the housing is sonically welded together in order to create a waterproof seal. With that said, we intentionally designed the lights to be removable so they can be easily replaced if anything happens. The lights will also be sold separately.

What is the difference between the original FEND One helmet and FEND SUPER?
The main differences are in the design aesthetic and the ultra-bright lights. In designing FEND SUPER, we wanted to focus more on a commuter-centric design and incorporate removable front and taillights for nighttime visibility. With that said, both FEND SUPER and FEND One use the same patented locking system, which allows the helmet to stay open during impact and fold by 50% in size.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
